My focus throughout my time in NMPD has been on graphic design for print and interactive media. I really like the idea of creating something that people will interact with whether that is a card game for people to play or the interface of a mobile app.
During high school I was largely focused on art class and I went on to complete the college level Art AP 31 course in 2012. I also studied in various digital media courses where my passion for graphic design first came to be. In 2013 I represented my school in graphic design at the Skills Alberta competition, receiving a supplementary reward for best logo design.
In 2014 I joined the NMPD program to explore the different options that the new media field had to offer. Though my focus on graphic design never changed the program has given me valuable insight into a variety of fields. In addition to the experience I have gained, I am now an Adobe Certified Associate in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier and Flash.
